The Kurume Flower Greenery Center was built in Kurume City (called one of Three Major Japanese Production Regions of Garden Trees) as a large distribution center for cooperative collection and sales of garden plants and flowers. Not only traders but also ordinary people are free to use the center any time, and it is a “department store of greenery” where garden plants, miniature potted trees, potted plants, gardening materials, models of gardens, and so on can be displayed and sold. Visitors can directly select from a full-line of locally grown, reasonably priced garden plants. It is also close to the wax tree area in Yanagisaka Sone, making it very convenient.
