Michi-no-Eki Kurume is a rest stop, opened in 2008.
It is a complex of 10,000 square meters, located next to the gardening center, ‘Kurume Ryokka Center’ along National Route 210.
Facilities include toilets, a rest area, restaurants, a farmer's market and a study room. The area is built in an area surrounded by natural abundance at the northern foot of the Mino Mountains. With the nearby garden center and the area’s iconic wax tree-lined streets, this location is an up-and-coming tourist hot-spot.

Every morning at Direct Farmer's Market Hotomeki-no-Sato, cheerful staff wait to greet customers, with offerings of freshly picked produce, all home-grown for your peace of mind.
Amongst the many farmer's markets in the prefecture, Hotomeki-no-Sato boasts some of the widest selections and best quality of produce around. Besides agricultural produce, you can find pickles, bentos and confectionery as well as locally-made liquors, ramen and Kurume-gasuri fabric.

When it comes to food, the staff at nutrition education restaurant ‘Hotomeki-An’ are passionate about three factors - the environment, farming and health, regularly sharing their knowledge with customers. Using vegetables nurtured on fertiliser made from the restaurant’s own raw garbage, along with seasonal ingredients, dishes are homegrown and original. Try some Mino Chanpon - a famous Nagasaki noodle dish with a local spin, or some Dango-jiru - a Kyushu soup dish full of hearty dumplings and vegetables.

‘Takeout Corner Yuta-to Cafe MAI MAI’
The cafe menu features a lineup of locally produced goods, made with local Jersey milk and and other farm produce. Try some Jersey ice cream or one of the cafe’s espressos.
